 Starview’s machines evolve with the packages for sustainability.

Starview’s FAB8-1418 and FAB8-1824 machines are offered with an additional automatic feeding        station as shown above.  This makes the FAB Series machines ideal for automated packaging                of double card trapped blister packages.

The front card is placed by Feeder #1; the blister is inserted into the die cut in the front card by        Feeder #2.  Operators place the products into the blister and Feeder #3 places the back card.

The double card trapped blister packages are quickly replacing the traditional clamshell packages.        The cards can be produced from typical SBS blister card materials or from advanced design               film reinforced board such as Natralock from MWV and Safe-Pak from International Paper.  Blisters         may be produced from PVC films but are increasingly manufactured from RPET films.  For a          completely recyclable package the blister is simply trapped and not sealed to the cards.

Specially machined face plates are used to provide the selective sealing patterns to avoid sealing          the board to the plastic.  Starview’s exclusive quick-change feature for changing these plates allow          them to be changed quickly, while hot and without hand tools.  Complete changeover of the           machine between package designs can be made in 20 minutes or less.

Starview’s Summer Holiday Schedule.

Starview will be on reduced staff for the Canadian Construction Holidays.  This year the Holidays are      the weeks beginning Monday, July 19, 2010 and July 26, 2010.

As in the past we will continue to provide quotations and ship in-stock emergency repair parts.

The Holiday weeks are not considered working weeks.  All of the quotations we provide are in         working weeks.  Since most of Canada is on this same schedule, goods and services will not be       flowing with normal lead times during this period.

New CD ROM Set to release in Quarter III.

Work is progressing on the V5.0 CD ROM set. Updated tooling pricing is now being used on all           new quotations.  We are still reviewing costing and features on the machines and will begin to quote        new machine prices in June 2010.  All of our previously issued quotations expire 60 days from the        date of the quotation.

The new CD sets should be mailed out by late July 2010.
